karma charities

A big part of Moksha Yoga means taking your practice off the mat. Our studio supports a number of important organizations making a BIG difference in our communities through Karma Class funds and studio events.

So…the 30 Day challenge will be approaching….November 1-30th.

In conjunction with Modo Yoga NYC, Moksha Yoga Montréal’s 30 day challenge will be linked to a charity we helped create called Junglekeepers.  The charity is dedicated to protecting the most biodiverse part of the amazon rainforest in the Madre de Dios region in Peru.  You can check out and learn more about the charity Junglekeepers at junglekeepers.com.

Moksha Yoga Montréal is all set up on crowdrise and it will be great if we do this as a community and register soon! It's super simple. Go to www.crowdrise.com/junglekeepers. You'll see the green SET UP (your fundraiser) BUTTON, just click on it.

Then scroll to down until you see Moksha Yoga Montréal Team, then click on it.

If you're already a crowdrise member it will add you immediately. If not, easy steps in setting you up. Please add a cute profile picture of YOU (make sure you are wearing clothes!)

This 30 day challenge we are encouraging you to fundraise and reach out to your own community, share your experiences on twitter, instagram and Facebook and here's the thing, even though our challenge starts on the 1st, we can kickstart our fundraising efforts by starting to talk about it now!  If you have $10 or $20, make the first donation in your own fundraiser (folks will tend to give once they see a few $$ in your fundraiser).

Please reach out to us if you have any questions!

Moksha Yoga Provides Seed Funding

New Leaf Yoga Foundation is a charitable organization that was founded in 2007 by Laura Sygrove and Jessica Robertson, the co-founder of Moksha Yoga.

New Leaf offers yoga and meditation practices to at-risk and incarcerated youth, empowering them to create more peace in their own lives as well as help to foster peace in our communities.

Moksha Yoga studios and karma funds provided the seed funding needed for the start up and have raised close to $65,000 for New Leaf Yoga Foundation since its inception!
